We reached out to Kate in November 2021 to MC the annual Wizard Pharmacy Awards at Optus Stadium. The event was a 450 person sit down dinner, so we knew we needed someone charismatic, entertaining and professional. That is exactly what we got with Kate. We were very impressed with her level of preparation and research, which really helped give the night that personal touch. She was fantastic at adapting to any last-minute changes and kept the whole event running incredibly smoothly. She kept the crowd engaged throughout and was a pleasure to work with. This is the second time we’ve worked with Kate as an MC because the first time blew us away! This one was our big 2018 Melbourne Cup event at Whitfords Brewery which required Kate to work 2 big rooms, 2 separate events and with the added challenge of holding the attention of a crowed that likes a few drinks. Kate did not disappoint. She is all class but also a lot of fun. As an MC she is superb. Naturally knowledgeable, vivacious and sassy. She captivates her audience and holds the floor with her effortless energy, spirit and humour. Kate Mac was our celebrity speaker at last year’s Positive Life Expo and Workshops. I met Kate when we both presented at UBER’s International Women’s Day in 2018. I loved her vulnerability when she spoke of her challenges working in the media industry. The first time I heard her story on dealing with anxiety and expectations of those you worked with, it was so emotional that I instantly felt a connection with her as I too had similar experiences. I could see through her sincerity in sharing her story to help others. At our PLEW2018, I received a lot of positive feedback about her talk on tapping into intuition etc. Over everything, one thing I love about Kate is her humility and warmness towards others. I would highly recommend Kate Mac to any organisation who wishes to have a speaker who is courageous enough to talk about her story and her journey with anxiety. Kate Mac hosted our event in 2018 and we could not have been happier with the result. As a new event, showcasing a relatively new sport in WA, how we communicated with competitors and supporters on the day was as important as what we communicated. Kate Mac just ‘got this’ from the get go, delivering on the brief to a tee. Her commentary of the race was professional but personable and her impromptu interviews with finishing teams were insightful, light-hearted and completely captured the spirit of the event. Competitor feedback has consistently referenced her work as helping take the event up another level on our efforts last year. We engaged Kate in March 2017 to host the launch party of our new beverage company Bee Firm NRG Natural honey drinks. We had heard Kate’s work on Nova 937 and her elocution and relatable personality made her a great fit for what we wanted on the night. We provided a run sheet which she diligently ran through introducing and interacting with several of our athletes and director and when when a gap appeared in the sheet, she ad-libbed wonderfully to keep the momentum going with the audience.
It was important for us to utilise a professional who could hold the crowd and keep the flow rolling along and Kate filled the role perfectly. We would highly recommend her and would have her back at any of our future functions.
